Sydney Newborn Photography

I love photographing Sydney newborns and their families. I especially love photographing babies with their older brothers or sisters. This session was photographed in Parramatta on a hot summer day which makes for some beautiful natural skin photos. I specialise in natural newborn photography and capturing the lives of families in the comfort of their home. This allows me to create unique images for the family and also means the family has a lifelong memory of their first home through the images I create. I travel around sydney for home newborn sessions.

I’m a big fan of keeping a home session very light and fun for older siblings who are usually about 2-3 years older than the new brother or sister. This often entails jumping on the big and things getting a little hectic. But, isn’t that what life with a toddler is like? I also try not to put too much pressure on the siblings as there is a huge change in their lives with the arrival of their brother and sister. I like to see how they play it out and photograph around them in a way that captures how they might be feeling rather than forcing things too much. Quite often, I end up with images that make me laugh which I personally like. I’m not after images that are too manufactured or neat and tidy – I prefer to capture images that are natural and sometimes a little funny and on the edge. Life isn’t always perfect but it can be beautifully imperfect!
